Lucille Persinger (Francis)
Lucille Francis Persinger, age 90, of 608 West Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, October 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1925 in Nathalie, Virginia to the late Samuel and Hallie Francis. She was a seamstress for Jane Colby and Halmode Apparel, Inc. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples in Christ, where she belonged to Circle # 6. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Persinger, as well as a sister and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Unroe and husband Steve and Carole Unroe and husband Barry, all of Clifton Forge; three sisters, Bea Jarell, Ella Mae Fisher and Annabelle Glasgow, and two brothers, Bobby Francis and Acie Francis, all of Nathalie; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Connally of Hampstead, MD and Cindy Persinger of Charlottesville; seven grandchildren, Darryl Caldwell, Tina Caldwell, Stephanie Carter and husband Billy, Tamara Caldwell, Chris Unroe and wife Susy, Ami Hale and husband Brian, and David Unroe and wife Anita; fourteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Pastor Linda Kagarise officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. Friends may call anytime at the residence, 608 W. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge.
