Obituary for Faye Kilbourn (Nicely)

Faye Nicely Kilbourn, age 83, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Wiley Nicely, Sr. and wife Leona Linkswiler Nicely; brother, Elbert Wiley Nicely, Jr.; sister-in-law, Barbara Nicely; mother-in-law, Margaret Kilbourn; brother-in-law, Donald Kilbourn. Faye is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Herbert Kilbourn; daughter Laura Whorley and husband Jeff; brother, Frazier Wayne Nicely; sister-in-law, Faye Nicely; Fred and Jane Conti, sister-in law and brother-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Fintel at Blue Ridge Cancer, the Staff at Lewis-Gale Medical Center at 6 West, Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab staff, and Good Samaritan Hospice especially Jean, Lorri, Lisa, and Stephanie for all their care. For those wishing to make a memorial contribution, please consider Camp Accovac, C/O C.J. Nicely, 625 Frontier Way, Fincastle VA 24090. The family will receive friends Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home in Roanoke. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend T. G. Ayers officiating. The family will also receive friends Tuesday afternoon, one hour prior to service time at Nicely Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
