Leola Jane Mason (Tucker)
Leola Jane Tucker Mason, age 73, of 137 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 28, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke. She was born June 23, 1941 in Covington to the late Joseph Knight and Matilda Ann Tingler Tucker. She was a lifelong resident of Clifton Forge and was a very faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed time with her church family as well as her family. She was a babysitter for many years, and poured out a lot of love to all those around her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Dean Tucker, Ryland Odell Tucker, and Joseph Knight "Bo" Tucker, Jr.; one sister, Carol Ann Tucker; and one granddaughter, Amanda Jo Mason. She is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence R. Mason; her four children, Nancy Carol Spencer and husband Winton, Laura Leola Ferris and husband David, Kenneth Mason and wife Mary, and Timothy Mason and wife Daisy; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Spencer, Russell Spencer, Alexis Horton, Katelyn Ferris, Matthew Ferris, Todd Mason, Elizabeth Mason, Kerith Mason, Jessica Mason, Andrew Mason, Aaron Mason, Avery Mason, Adin Mason, and Adrian Mason; eight great grandchildren, Genesis Spencer, Skyler Spencer, Ethan Spencer, Kaelan Spencer, Ian Spencer, Peyton Spencer, Brooklyn Horton, and Bentley Horton; four brothers, Charles Samuel Tucker, Wilbur Lane Tucker, Donald Eugene Tucker, and William Daniel Tucker; one aunt, Eloise Arrington; one uncle, Samuel Lewis Tingler; and a number of nieces nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Immanuel Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Pastor Ken Mason, Pastor Tim Mason and, Pastor John Godfrey, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Todd Mason, Matthew Ferris, Russell Spencer, Josh Horton, Andrew Mason, Aaron Mason, Ronnie Seabolt, Tim Mayo, Avery Mason and Adin Mason. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge and also on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Immanuel Baptist Church. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
