Dorothy Louise Switzer Craft, age 51, of 111 Wright Road, Covington died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Born September 4, 1955 in California, she was a daughter of the late Harry Junior Switzer and Thelma Cleo Fridley Switzer. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a former member of New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and writing poems. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step mother, Drucille Switzer. She is survived by her husband, Norman Craft of the home, two sisters; Phyllis Lynn Rorrer and Patricia Jean Medley, both of Covington, a brother, Harry F. Switzer and fiancee Mavis Stanley of Covington, two half sisters; Shirley Bratton of Covington and Thelma, a brother-in-law, Barry Craft and fiancee Crystal of Clifton Forge, a number of nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephews; Shirley Stanley of Roanoke, William Burns of Clifton Forge, Roxie Jean Wolfe, and Safford “Boy” Wright, and two great nephews; Caper Wolfe and Andrew Wolfe. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Bill Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
