Frank Edward Pullen, Sr., 81, of 720 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died, Monday, June 6, 2005 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

He was born on December 21, 1923 in Clifton Forge, a son of the late Claude Coe and Nettie Hayslett Pullen.

He retired in 1985 from the United States Postal Service as a clerk. He was a member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church and the Clifton Forge Lions Club. He was an Army veteran having served his country in WWII. He was also an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anderson “Dot” Pullen of Clifton Forge; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen Pullen Reynolds and her husband John of Penhook, VA.; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank Edward “Eddie” Pullen, Jr. and his wife Robin of Kingsport, TN.; five grandchildren, Anne Reynolds Terry and her husband Ken, Matthew Scott Reynolds, Eric Evans Reynolds and his wife Haley, Katie Allison Pullen, and Edward Andrew “Andy” Pullen; three great grandchildren, Emma Terry, Olivia Terry, and Alex Reynolds; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Robert, Webb, and Claude.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Reverend W. Pembroke Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Richard Miller, Hiram Detwiler, Jim Laughlin, Carl Brinkley, Glenn Perry, Robert Brown and Gordon James. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
