Obituary

Gloria Ann Fitzgerald Fridley, age 79, of 1618 Cowpasture River Highway, Millboro, VA died Friday, July 16, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Born April 23, 1931 in Alleghany County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Mary Frances Ford Fitzgerald. She was a bus driver for the Fairfax County Public School System and a member of Central Advent Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Fitzgerald. She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Fridley of Millboro; a daughter, Constance "Connie" Hostetter and husband Jeffrey of Bumpass; three grandchildren, Donna Bunch and husband Timothy, David Hostetter and wife Andrea, and Dustin Hostetter, three great grandchildren, Joshua Hostetter, Dakota Bunch, and Jorgia Hostetter; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday at 1:30 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be David Hostetter, Dustin Hostetter, Aaron Fitzgerald, Daniel Fitzgerald, Denny Fitzgerald, Timothy Bunch, and Wayne Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Potomac Hunt Club. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
